Science Current Events Project- worth 100 points!
1. Get an article which talks about a recent news event in
science. It must be from the last 3 months or newer. Have your article checked by me BEFORE you start writing.
2. Read and highlight the article. Look for four vocabulary
words you will need to define. Use a dictionary (on line or print) to define these words and write that out as part of the project. 3. Write a paragraph which summarizes the article. If you highlighted correctly, that will help. 4. Write a list of 3 facts that you learned from the article. These should be in bullet form. 5. Write another paragraph that explains why this article is important. Why do I care? 6. Make a cover which has your name, the title of the article and a picture. An 8th grade paragraph is 5-6 sentences long. This MUST BE TYPED.
