State the procedure:
Today we will have a lesson on leaving the classroom.

General Rationale:

This lesson is important because it will ensure the classroom will be left
as it was when the students have entered. Clean and organized.

Explain and model the procedure:

Quietly put away all of your materials


Write down any homework assignments or notes
Make sure your area is clean
Place all trash in appropriate trash bins
Teacher will be by the door when the bell rings to wish everyone a
good day

Check for Understanding:

What should you be doing before the bell rings?


What should you do with your trash?

Rehearse:

A group of students will model for the others the procedure for leaving
the classroom.
Apply corrective training if needed.

Reinforce:

Remind them daily on what they did correctly and fix any errors they
may have made.
