Miss Marquez Room


October 26th October 30h

Reminders
Our field trip to the Pumpkin Patch will be this Friday
at 9:30 following our schools Halloween Parade at 8:45;
students are encouraged to wear their Halloween
costumes but please refrain from letting them wear any
blood, gore, weapons, or inappropriate masks. Please
also send a change of clothes with them in case you do
not want them wearing it all day.

Math

Students will be able to solve division


problems by using units of 9.

Reading

This week the students will be focusing on


inference in a Language Arts text. They will then
at the end of the week be responsible for
composing a skit with other classmates to
demonstrate understanding.

Writing
Students are learning how to organize and
structure the composition of informative writing.
This week they will be learning the FLEE chart as
well as index cards to help them better organize.

Science/ Social Studies

Homework
Math Lesson 16HW Pg.
Multiplication Practice (3s and 4s)
Reading 20 minutes a night, plus logging
in the reading journal
Other Cursive and History Worksheet;
no spelling this week!

This week they will begin the study of matter. At


the beginning of the week we will be composing a
science journal and make perditions. Later, we will
follow with a hands on experiment.

Technology
Students will be typing their informative writing
pieces on the iPad and in the computer lab.
