Editing Guide

This document provides guidelines for formatting a manuscript according to an editing guide. It specifies that manuscripts should be in A4 size, with page numbers centered at the bottom of the page. EDITING GUIDE

Your manuscript must be in A4 size (see Fig.1). Please go to Page Layout


and click on Size, then select A4.

The page numbering should be centered (Fig.2). This is the best position. Go
to Insert, click on Page number and select the second image in the
Bottom of Page.
The Table of Contents and the Introduction / Chapter one should begin on
an odd-numbered page as 3,5,7,9,11 etc. All the pages must be counted and
numbered.

In order to set the margins, please go to Page Layout, click on Margins


(Fig. 3) and will appear a window Page Setup (Fig.4). If the manuscript has
less than 140 pages, the margins must me set as it is shown in Fig.4. For
manuscripts that have more than 141 pages, please see the Fig. 5.

For manuscripts with more than 391 pages, the margins should be set as it is shown
in Fig. 6.

Note:
0.8 inches = 2 cm
1.18 inches = 3 cm
1.42 = 3.6 cm

The line spacing should be 1.25 (check Fig.7).

The font size must be Times New Roman 14 like in Fig. 8.

The paragraph must be set according with Fig. 9 Also, the space between
the paragraphs should be as it is shown in Fig. 10. Go to Page Layout than
see the Spacing lines.

The text alignment must be Full Justification like in Fig. 11
