November 6th Newsletter

This weekly classroom update provides information about the subjects and activities covered from November 2nd to 6th. In reading, students focused on letters C, O and Q and will move to letters G, S and A next week. In math, the class began learning about addition within 10 using manipulatives. November 2nd 6th
Reading

This week we focused on the letters C, O and Q. Next week we will study letters G,
S and A.

During reading, students we continuing to study sight words as well as decoding


strategies.
Math
This week we began talking about addition. Students are practicing adding within 10
using manipulatives. We are also continuing to work on counting on, greater/less
than and number writing.
Writing
We are continuing to work on Narrative writing throughout November. Students are
working to sound out words to match their picture.
Inquiry
This week, we began talking about famous people. As a class we read about Dr.
Seuss and Walt Disney. We then discusses why they are important.
