See the following table.
There are three retirement contribution possibilities to account for:
An employee works full time AND has been employed more than 2 years. The retirement benefit applies 25%
of salary.
An employee works full time but has NOT been employed two or more years.
The retirement benefit does not apply.
An employee does NOT work full time. The retirement benefit does not apply.

Write the formula to calculate the Retirement Contribution i.e. 35% of salary.
Exercise 2

In a new workbook, create the worksheet. Name the worksheet as FURNITURE DETAILS, Enter
the data shown in the table below:

a) Calculate the total amount for each item (Quantity*price/piece) and also the total amount for all
items.

b) Apply suitable formatting to currency entries (Rs.) and numbers.


c) Adjust the column widths where needed. Insert blank rows between column labels and data.
d) Use alignments, fonts, borders and color to format the FURNITURE DETAILS worksheet.
For example, put a border around the title, change the color of column headings to red and center
all the entries of quantity column.
Create a header that includes your name, and a food that includes current date. Change page
orientation to landscape.
Exercise 3

This is a table full of holidays to delightful destinations


Create a pivot table from this data, to view the average prices of holidays that have a Travel Method of
Plane and a Resort Name that begins with the letter S and P.
