Ac Vs DC

AC current changes direction periodically, resulting in a reversing voltage and current over time. AC is used to power homes and businesses. DC provides a constant voltage or current without oscillation. While AC operates at 230 volts per 50 cycles, DC only allows for direct power flow and is well-suited for appliances that require immediate response. Both current types have advantages - AC for power transmission and DC for applications needing fast acting electricity.

AC VS DC

BY: Kyle & Dustin

AC- Alternating current describes the flow of charge that

changes direction periodically. As a result, the voltage level
also reverses along with the current. AC is used to deliver
power to houses, office buildings, etc.
DC- Direct current is a bit easier to understand than
alternating current. Rather than oscillating back and forth, DC
provides a constant voltage or current.

DC currents provides a constant voltage or current. And (AC) Alternating

current describes the flow of charge that changes direction periodically.

PROS

CONS
- AC- 230 volts per 50

cycles
- DC- is direct current which is
- DC- The DC only allows
me
- DC- good for fast acting electricity. To have touch and go
DC, for power, has the advantage
apliances.
that the peak voltage for a given level
of power is less and so the insulation
requirements are somewhat less.
