The
teacher
should
have
the
stations
already
set
out
for
them
to
see.
While
the
students
are
in
their
seats
the
teacher
should
walk
around
the
room
and
explain
each
station.
After
each
station
is
explained
the
teacher
should
tell
the
students
their
groups
and
then
dismiss
them.
The
teacher
needs
to
remind
students
that
although
they
will
be
working
together
at
some
stations
they
need
to
keep
their
voices
down.
The
teacher
should
also
explain
that
after
the
allotted
time
period
she
will
ring
the
bell
and
that
will
signal
a
station
switch.
They
will
rotate
stations
in
a
clockwise
motion.
Station
1-
puzzle
In
the
back
of
the
classroom
in
the
carpet
area
there
will
be
a
fire
safety
puzzle
set
up.
The
students
should
work
together
to
complete
as
much
of
the
puzzle
as
they
can.
They
should
not
worry
about
finishing
it.
Each
group
will
put
together
a
part
of
it.
Station
2-
911
simulation
At
the
reading
table,
the
students
will
meet
with
the
teacher
to
practice
dialing
911.
The
teacher
should
open
by
asking
students
what
number
they
should
call
in
an
emergency.
The
teacher
will
explain
that
the
students
will
each
take
turns
dialing
911
on
the
practice
phone.
The
teacher
will
act
as
the
operator
and
ask
them
to
state
their
emergency.
The
students
will
say
that
someone
is
in
trouble
or
some
other
emergency.
The
teacher
will
then
ask
then
to
state
their
location
(their
home
address).
The
teacher
will
challenge
students
to
say
their
address
from
memory.
However,
if
students
need
support
the
teacher
will
have
their
address
cards
fro
their
reference.
The
teacher
should
model
this
process
first
for
students.
Station
3-
nook
book
At
the
counter
the
students
will
each
have
a
nook.
The
students
can
sit
on
the
ground
and
they
will
each
work
through
the
DK
readers
Fire
Fighter
book.
The
students
will
choose
the
read
aloud
option.
This
is
an
individual
work
station.
Station
4
phone
and
address
practice
At
the
white
board,
the
students
will
practice
their
phone
number
and
address.
The
students
will
be
using
their
hand
sheets.
There
will
be
magnets
on
the
board
for
them
to
use
to
hang
up
their
sheets.
At
this
stations
the
students
should
be
reminded
that
although
they
will
be
reciting
the
number
and
address
out
loud
they
should
make
sure
they
are
using
their
inside
voices.
They
should
also
be
reminded
this
is
an
individual
activity.

5-
Worksheet
At
their
desks
the
students
should
individually
compete
the
fire
fighter
worksheet.
Tell
the
students
that
they
may
only
use
their
crayons
for
this
worksheet.
Instruct
the
students
to
turn
their
worksheets
into
the
pink
box
when
they
are
finished.
During
the
station
work
one
teacher
will
be
at
the
simulation
station.
The
other
teacher
will
be
walking
around
the
room
answering
questions
and
making
sure
students
stay
on
task.

not
enough
time
for
each
group
to
get
to
each
station
stack
the
groups
and
rotations
so
that
the
students
get
to
the
stations
they
need.
For
example
if
certain
students
need
practice
with
their
name
and
address
make
sure
they
go
to

completed
each
station
instruct
them
to
clean
up
the
station
they
are
currently
at.
After
they
are
cleaned
up
have
then
return
to
their
seats.

turn
to
a
neighbor
and
tell
them
what
their
favorite
station
was.
