Jubilee Bag Pattern

Five feminine, frivolous and fun-to-make bags adorable with spring-summer costumes and all amazingly easy to make.
Three have Basket Bag Bottoms (ready-made); all have Drawstring Tops, and all are ready to carry everything that goes
into a lady's purse.
MATERIALS REQUIRED:
DRITZ Luxury Belastraw Art. 110, 2 tubes

DRITZ Sparkle Belastraw Art. 146, 2 tubes


DRITZ Metal Crochet Hook No. 2
8 DRITZ Plastic Rings No. 6097
Crinoline
GAUGE: 6 sts = 1"
With Luxury Belastraw ch 5. Join with sl st to form ring.
1st rnd: Ch 3 (to count as 1 dc), 19 dc in ring. Join with sl st in top of starting ch-3.
2nd rnd: Ch 1, 2 sc in same place as sl st, * sc in back loop of 4 dc, 3 sc in back loop of next dc (corner). Repeat from * around
ending with sc in same place as first 2 sc. Join with sl st in front loop of 1st sc.
3rd rnd: Ch 1, 2 sc in same place as sl st, * sc in front loop of each sc to center sc of next corner, 3 sc in front loop of center sc.
Repeat from * around ending with sc in same place as first 2 sc. Join with sl st in back loop of 1st sc.
4th rnd: Ch 3, 2 dc in same place as sl st, * dc in back loop of each sc to center sc of next corner, 5 dc in back loop of center sc.
Repeat from * around ending with 2 dc in same place as first 2 dc. Join.
5th rnd: Ch 1, 2 sc in same place as sl st, * sc in back loop of each dc to center dc of next corner, 3 sc in back loop of center dc.
Repeat from * around ending with sc in same place as first 2 sc. Join with sl st in front loop of 1st sc.
Repeat 3rd, 4th and 5th rnds 6 more times; then repeat 3rd and 4th rnds once more. End off. Make another piece same as this
using Sparkle Belastraw.
Cut crinoline same size as 1 crocheted piece and tack to wrong side.
With wrong sides facing, join edges, stitch for stitch, by working sl st loosely all around catching only 1 loop of each st on each
piece. Sew a ring 5" away from each corner (8 rings).
DRAWSTRING (make 2): Cut five 4-yd. strands of Luxury Belastraw. Follow directions for Twisted Cord on patternbook page.
