BlendedWingBody(BWB)Program,andcoinventoroftheBWBconfigurationwithDr.Robert
LiebeckandBlaineRawdonofBoeing.Subsequently,Mr.Pageaccumulated13yearsof
experienceinracecardevelopment,whilealsoteachingasanAdjunctProfessorintheAerospace
EngineeringdepartmentattheUniversityofSouthernCalifornia.Mr.PageispresentlytheChief

It'softensaid"ifitlooksgood,itwillflygood".Mostwouldagreethatthisisanoverstatement.
Yetmostpeoplealsobelievethisismainlytrue.Inthislecturewe'lllookataparadeofbeautiful
anduglyairplanes,voteonourfavorites,andcomparethemtoaninternationalsurveyconducted
lastyear.Nextwe'lllookatreasonsforalinkbetweenbeautyandperformance.Andfinallywe'll
appealtoprinciplesoffacialbeauty.

Asanaddendumwe'lllookattheEclipseConceptJetstory.In2007,Swiftwassecretly
contractedtodesign,buildandflyasmallbizjetin200days.Therelevanceofbeautywillbe
exploredinthisreallifeexample.
