Dear Parent / Carer


Can I begin by introducing myself, my name is Mr Dave Wisby and I am the new Head of Music at
Glan-y-Mr. I am writing to you to make you aware of some of the upcoming events that Glan-yMrs talented musicians are taking part in over the festive season. Christmas is such a busy time
of year with so many different aspects, not only all the concerts and extra curricular events that the
pupils are involved in. I would like to thank you in anticipation for your support to the music
department in allowing us to showcase the talent of your child over the coming weeks. Please find
below a list of the events that I would like to bring to your attention.
Friday 27th November
Burry Port Carnival, Memorial Hall (Junior and Senior Choirs)
Wednesday 9th December
Bryngwyn & Glan-y-Mr Federation Carol Service (All instrumentalists and vocalists)
Tuesday 15th December
Llanelli Music Hub Christmas Concert (Instrumentalists and vocalists involved with the hub.
Letters have been given out)
Wednesday 16th December
Glan-y-Mr Christmas Concert (All instrumentalists and Vocalists)
I hope that you will be able to support your child in these events and witness the array of talented
musicians that Ysgol Glan-y-Mr has to offer.
