Introduction:
During my teaching practice, I asked my MST that I want to do an interview
with her I told her that the interview have fifteen questions, some of them
about her life and other about her classroom management. I did the
interview on Sunday 11th of October from 8:30 AM to 9:40 AM. My MST name
is Amna Abdulrazzaq, she is from Iraq, she is an English teacher at Al
Andalus School and she teaches grade one students. I chose 15 questions,
some of these questions are about herself and other questions related to her
classroom management. And, the questions are:
1- Can you tell me a little bit about yourself?
I live in Baghdad and I studied four years in Baghdad University (College of
art) English department, but now I teach students in school.
2- What major did you study? Why?
I studied English grammar skills because my parents want me to be an
English teacher and I love to talk and teach English. Also, my friends gave
me an incentive to study English grammar skills.
3- Which level did you start teaching first? Why?
The level that I taught first was secondary school students because I like to
teach students at this age because they are intelligent and they understand
what I say very well and do it quickly.
4- What is the first strategy that you used in primary to manage the
classroom?
Organize the classroom to build a comfortable environment for the students
to develop their learning. And Ive putted some rules so that I can manage
them.

5- How do you manage the students behavior in the classroom?


We should give the students some rules to manage their behavior and warn
them if they don't listen or break some of the rules, I will punish them.

6- What is the purpose of the classroom rules?
Classroom rules are very important to handle the students very well. If the
students were very polite and follow the rules I will reward them and those
who dont I will punish but not for everything.

7- How did you teach the classroom rules for your student in
primary level?
I taught the classroom rules for my students by singing a song every day to
remember the rules.

All rules are very important because it helps to adjust the students behavior
in the classroom.
9- Do you think that your classroom environment is positive? Why?
Yes of course, since all resources are under my hand. Also, there are some
supplies that help me.
10- How do you deal with students with different learning abilities?
By giving them some activities that differentiate their abilities. Also, make for
them different types of worksheets, but the idea is the same to help them be
all in one stage.
11- How does environment effect on students learning?
No doubt, the environment helps students to learn more and to become
creative.

12- How does your classroom looks like? Why?


All parts or corner are different because I like to use different things to put on
the walls like: some pictures that are related to the lesson, words, numbers
and letters to help the students to learn better.

13- How do you deal with students problems during the lesson?

Our job needs more patient, don't be nerves and I
treat problems by solving it quickly. for example: If I forgot something related
to the lesson at home, I teach them in different way like act for my students
and asked them to do what I do.

14- How do you get the students engage more in the lesson?
Let them love the subject, teach them a lesson by using different learning
style, and give them some different activities.
15- Tell me about your rules in the classroom?
The rules that I use in the classroom are: sit in a good way, obey the teacher,
respect each other by saying: (please and thank you), share with your
friends, and do not run or jump in the classroom.
