Compilation of Summative Assessment Materials

Summative Assessment Given:

Day:

The teacher will collect their business cards and worker paper cutouts to put
into their unit portfolios. There will be a rubric to assess the students business
cards.

After we complete the production line activity, I will ask the students to write
about the process of the activity. Certain guidelines of this written piece will
include: describing in detail and in chronological order the process in which
they did the activity, at least three ideas explaining what they learned from the
activity that they didnt know from the book, and to correctly use at least three
of our vocabulary words throughout the piece.

The teacher will collect the website hunt worksheet that the students completed
to see if they understand the process of minting. She will also review the
student's ideas for their bartering products to make sure they understood that
concept as well. The teacher will include these worksheets in the portfolio for
the unit.

The teacher will collect the tablets and view the students budgets to see if the
students understood the task and if they calculated the numbers correctly. The
teacher will print out the budgets so that students can include these in their unit
portfolios. (Learning outcome 1)

Day 2: Workers and Consumers


The teacher will collect their business cards and worker paper cutouts to put into their unit
portfolios. There will be a rubric to assess the students business cards.

Day 4: How Businesses Work


The teacher will ask students to complete a written response explaining the process of their
assembly line as well as use vocabulary words correctly. Students will be given the checklist
below to use while completing their responses.

I explained in chronological order the process of my assembly line.
I used detail to describe the process of the assembly line activity.
I talked about 3 new things that I learned from our activity with the assembly
line.
3 or more of the following words: capital, raw material, human resource, capital
