Grammar Handbook: Perfect and Progressive Verb Forms

The document discusses different verb forms: 1) The perfect form indicates a completed action using "have" or "had" plus the past participle, such as "I have finished" or "He had watched". 2) The progressive form shows an ongoing action using a form of "to be" plus the -ing verb form, like "The cake is baking" or "The trees were waving". 3) The perfect and progressive forms can be combined, for example "I have been running" or "I had been running".
