Transitio
ns

Children moved when

they were asked to, but
some children moved on
their own because they
were bored of sitting for
too long.

Endings

The students raise their

hands for the teacher to
mark their work.
Some students stand up
and move without
permission.

Monitorin

students
progress

Students answer
questions asked by the
teacher.

Pace and
flow of
the
lesson

The childrens levels

vary; some need less
assigned time, but
others need more.

Children hang their bags

and put their picture and
name card on the wall.
After that, they stay in
the classroom.

Teachers
observed
behaviour
The teacher comes
to the classroom
and asks the
children to line up
for the assembly.
The teacher asks
the children to
move by calling
out their names.
When one of the
children moves
without asking the
teacher shouts at
them.
The teacher goes
around checking
each students
work and asks the
students to be in
line so they can go
to the playground.
The teacher
assesses the
students by asking
them.

The teacher
changes the pace
accordingly based
on the childrens
needs.

Other comments

In my opinion I think what

they teacher have done is
wrong, she should be in the
classroom waiting for the
children in the classroom
instead of coming late.
I think the teacher should
separate the children into
small groups and send them
according to their group
number. The groups will
consist of active and behaved
children to balance the
classs behaviour.
The teacher could have done
better by marking for the
more active students and
sending them to the circle
time first because they will
misbehave if they had to sit
with no work to do.
I think they teacher was good
in monitoring the childrens
progress by asking them.
Asking the students is
efficient because the teacher
can know instantly if the
children learned or not.
Changing the pace and flow
accordingly is good because
the class will not always go
on the same pace so the
pace should be varied and
different for each activity.

Pupil
movemen
t

The teacher expects a

constant movement
from the children so;
they may move a little
from time to time.

The teacher warns

the children when
they move more,
but she takes into
consideration that
they get bored and
want to play and
go around.

Pupil
noise

Pupil noise is varied

based on every child.

The teacher warns

the students when
they make many
noises.

The teacher expectation the

students to sit quietly, but
she knows that they want to
move. Knowing that the
children get bored easily is
good because the teachers
knowledge about the
students helps her cope with
their noise.
I think the teachers reaction
is natural because some
children disturb others. The
teacher could have done
better by putting the
classroom rules chart on the
wall.
