Guns and Schools dont match

Gun violence is a major health crisis
Hundred thousands of United Sates citizens and non citizens get shot every year,
one third of that hundred thousand die from the lethal injuries that the guns cause to
a human body. The age in which most of the homicide gun cases are tend to be
presented is between young ages 15 to 24 years old as well between 25 to 34 years
old but it also can happened in almost every age, also most of the suicide cases tend
to be with people between 10 to 14 and 35 to 44 years old, then in some weird cases
but it had happened the unintentional shooting that are presented in very young ages
between 5 to 14 years old according with the statistics provided by the (Law Center
To Prevent Gun Violence, 2015).
Apparently in this year, guns are expected to take more lives than accidents in
vehicles between 15 to 24 ages, it is tragic and devastating how life can end so
suddenly because of gun violence, it is tragic how school shootings may end with
youngs with a potential future dead. A gun law needs to be implemented by the
government to ensure the security of Americans.

Teachers with Guns

Wearing guns inside a school could be a good idea or no? Now in these days and
a few past years as a result of violence inside the families, or TV series or even bad
friendships Americans had been pass by a series of shootings in scholar zones.
People with this type of problems outside the school tend to solve their problems
with violence. So, according to David Thweatt (2014) the superintendent of Harrold
Independent School District established in 1884 in Harrold, Texas there is a high

level of insecurity in his school if youre coming in our school, do not know where
you may get shot (Thweatt) something to beware about.
His town is 30 miles away from the nearest law enforcement agency, for this
reason they decide to take the justice on their own hand And whats good enough
for Thwatt at home is good enough for the school he runs (Chris Boyette, 2014).
How can we prevent school shooting without arming the teachers? Since this is a
community problem everyone should contribute with something, a solution may be
to patrol the schools, parents of the children in town should take turns to patrol the
school to prevent any threat that may be coming, that way teachers and students
have no direct contact with arms, they can feel safer if they know they are been
protected from the outside instead of have to sit and learn with a teacher that can
pull out a gun in any random moment.

Reduce Gun Violence in Schools

The president of the United States, president Barack, Obama and his
administration are taking actions to reduce gun violence in schools. Guns had
affected this country creating fears and dead. We can also provide new resources,
so school can develop and implement comprehensive emergency management
plans (Duncan, 2012). Also including support as officers, psychologists, social
workers and counselors because the mental health of the student is a key in a
possible future. What is been trying to prevent is students dying or living in fear but
to meet this goal parents also need to have a close communication because drugs
can be a fact that causes violence in schools. Also, increasing mental health services
for children and youth is found to be highly effective.

Psychologist to prevent gun violence

Psychology can make an important contribute to prevent gun violence, since all
violence derivate from some mental illness. The (American Psychological
Association) also named APA had made an important contribution to prevent gun
violence whether homicide or suicide. Family conflicts or criminal activity can be
prevented as well homicide or suicide can be prevented if the mental illness is
guided correctly. To guide it correctly psychologist need to evaluate their
environment such schools, workplaces, neighborhoods etc. any that may be relevant
to the cause of the gun violence but according to APA Although it is important to
recognize that most people suffering from a mental illness are not dangerous, for
those persons at risk for violence due to mental illness, suicidal thoughts, or feelings
of desperation, mental health treatment can often prevent gun violence. (APA,
2013). There should be a policy that prohibits having guns to a high-risk people,
such people that were domestic violence offenders, convicted people, and people
with mentally illness between others.

Get guns out of schools

To take the guns out of schools are necessary to take some actions under the law
such as The law requires States that receive Federal elementary and secondary
education funds to require school districts to expel for at least 1 year any student
who brings a gun to school, subject to certain exceptions. People who put in risk
the health of others need to be punished in some way in order to learn what they can
cause. Promoting maturity in schools to youth people, because the lack of this may
end in violence. The targeting to help youth is key to prevent gun shootings in
school or any other places in a future.
