1. When downloading settings from MView or MNavigate, all settings stored for that starter in MLink or the project file will be downloaded to the MControl. 2. The MControl will restart during the download process, and its status diodes will flash to indicate it is downloading. Wait for the diodes to stop flashing and restart before starting another download. 3. Downloads include the application/firmware, parameters, and configuration parameters sequentially. Each download step restarts the MControl with the new information.

Download settings to MControl with MView

When downloading from MView, all settings that are stored on the flashcard in MLink for this
starter are downloaded.
Go to MView
Mark the starter by moving the marker with positioning buttons to right starter. Then push
Device Setup

1. Set Offline. To be able to download Application the MControl has to be set Offline.

2. Send Application, This take some time. Aprox. 2 minutes.
If possible: check diodes on MControl.

When downloading the diodes flash rapidly


Then the MControl restarts and the diodes have a steady light
After this, another 1-2 minutes the diodes start blinking normal
While downloading this information is shown in MView.

If another download is started before the MControl is ready (has restarted) this message
is shown.

To make sure the MControl is ready for the next download, check the web interface.

Wait for the starter to change from grey to beige/yellow before downloading.
3. Send Parameter for MC Function.
When MControl is restarted the Parameters should be downloaded. This takes just some
seconds.
4. Send Config Parameter for MC Function.
Then the configuration should be downloaded. This is also quick.
After download the MControl restarts quickly and is set online.
If not, set it online manually.
5. Set Online.
Now the MControl contains the same information as where stored in MLink.

Download settings to MControl with MNavigate


When downloading from MNavigate, all settings that are set in the project file is downloaded.
Right click in tree structure on the MControl that needs to be downloaded to.
Download / Application

Click Yes to continue

Download starting information in Log window

The lamp in lower right corner blinks red and green while downloading.

When download is finished, MNavigate says Download Application/Firmware Finished


But MControl is restarting and it is not possible to start next download yet.

To make sure the MControl is ready for the next download, check the web interface.

Wait for the starter to change from grey to beige/yellow before downloading.
If a download is started before MControl is ready, error message 0xD5 will appear

Now the Parameters needs to be downloaded


Right click on the MControl and choose Download / Parameters

The download is shown in the Logg window

When download is finished.


Right click on the MControl and choose Download / Configuration

Click Yes if you want to download.

When download is finished the MControl contains the settings that are set in MNavigate.
