Technology Lesson Plan: Informational Text Slideshow (50 mins)

Overview: This will be a reoccurring activity at the end of the day. The first time through,
students will be given the general instructions and learn how to collaborate and create slides
through trial and error as well as a little bit of individual assistance from the teacher as he/she
circulates the room. Before the next time students do this activity, the class will discuss the
things that went well and didnt go so well. After reflection, the students will be shown a sample
slideshow to show them the requirements of a good slideshow, choose new groups, a new
article, and create a new and improved slideshows.
Goal: Students will be able gather relevant information from informational text, summarize and
present the facts in a slideshow.
Standards:
