By the end of this lesson, the students will be able to:
- Students will evaluate their ability to retain knowledge during the
second part of theC2 . Students will exchange with each other
where they have travelled, and understand that travelling does
not always mean going across the world.
The breakdown of the assignment:
- We will begin the class by going over homework that must
be done for next class. When students have finished writing
this down in their agendas, we will begin the practice
dictation test. Once we have completed that we will go over
sentences 6-10. After the dictation we will correct our
homework from the previous class. We will then begin our
C2 evaluation. Students will be tested on their listening
skills as well as retaining information from the past three
classes. To end the class we will look at a brochure together
(unwinding after a test).

Lesson: Unit 1 Travel in English- Class 4 (C2 evaluation)
Discuss homework:
Study dictation lines 6-10, test next class. Pages 7-8 in textbook,
answer questions in homework copybook. Page 7 in workbook.
(5 minutes)
Dictation practice test
- Students will do a practice test on lines 6-10
- Read each sentence slowly, chunk the sentence. Repeat is
necessary at the end.
- When done
- Correct and go over sentences 6-10.
(10-15 minutes)
Correct homework:
- 1) Tara is in Cork, Ireland 2) She can enjoy the city life and
country life at the same time 3) Paul is in Liverpool 4) The
industrial town, the shopping centres and parks. 5) Jenna is in

Los Angeles 6) There are beaches and celebrities everywhere


7) Sam is in Toronto 8) Everybody speaks different languages
(05- 10 minutes)
C2 evaluation : Students will be ripping out p. 6 of Express
yourself to hand in answers from the C2 evaluation. They will
be handing it in with a piece of loose leaf paper.
- Listen 1 time & do not write anything
- Listen 2nd time and fill out p. 6 of workbook
- When you are done: Answer questions projected.
- What are the two cities in England we read about?
- How is Melbourne pronounced?
- What Canadian city was mentioned (name one)?
- Where would you see many celebrities?
- Name one of the cities in Ireland and a fact:
Name one fact about Australia:
(20-25 minutes)
Closure Activity, taking a look at a brochure:
- Prezzi presentation
1st slide- Look at pictures, capturing text
2nd slide- Vocabulary
3rd slide- Audience
4th slide- Additional information
