Length 10
Shoulder to sleeve edge 9
Armhole length 3.5
Materials

3 balls 50g (135m) Lang Lyra, cotton/silk, pale pink


size 7 knitting needles
crochet hook E4
Sewing needle, pink thread
1 yard organza ribbon to match yarn color
Gauge

Gauge 20st x 28 rows = 4


Abbreviations

K=knit, P=purl, ST=stockinette, CO=cast on, BO= bind off


Wrap stitch= k1, yo,k2 then pass (yo) over the 2 knit stitches* to end of row,K1
M1 =pick up yarn between two stitches

Instructions
The sweater is knit in one piece
-Starting at lower back CO 64 st.
-Work in K2 xP2 rib for 2.
-Work in ST st for 1.
-Work 1 row of wrap st on RS of work, then purl the next row and continue in ST st until back measures 4.5.
For sleeves
-Cast on 5 st both ends of row, ever other row 3 times for a total of 15 st increase each sleeve. Continue in ST st
until sleeve depth is 4.

For neck opening


When the sleeve depth is 4, BO center 20 stitches of the back, and attach another ball of yarn to continue knitting
the sweater in one piece.
-Continue in ST st for 2 and then using CO method add 2 st at each side of neck edge 5 times for a total of 10 st
each side.
-Continue knitting both sides in ST st until sleeve depth is 8 then begin sleeve decrease as follows.
Decrease 5 st at sleeve edge every other row 3 times, for a total of 15 stitches each sleeve.
-Continue in ST st for 3.
-Wrap st for 1 row on RS of work.Then purl next row, and continue in ST st for 1.
-Work K2xP2 rib fro 2, then BO.
Finishing
Block sweater without stretching.
Turn sweater inside out, and sew armhole/side seams. Using crochet hook, single chain around front and neck
edges, BO.
Ruffle
Starting at left front bottom edge of sweater right above the ribbing pickup 35 stitches at left side edge right next to
bottom of the crochet chain, then pickup70 st around neck edge, and 35 st down right side of sweater to end at
ribbing.
_K 3 rows (garter stitch)
-P one row.
-K1,M1,K1 to end of row.
-P row.
-BO.
Using yarn and sewing needle,tack bottom edge of ruffle to sweater with 2 stitches to hold in place.
Belt Loop
Cut two pieces of ribbon, 3 and form each into circle,overlap cut edges and stitch across to hold .Then sew one
ribbon circle to each side of sweater between the ribbing and the wrap stitch pattern. Weave remaining ribbon
through the belt loops and tie a big bow.
