FEBRUARY NEWSLETTER

Dear Parents,
Our Pioneer Day was wonderful! Thanks to all our parent
volunteers! We could not do all of these great events without you!
Hundreds Day: We are excited about the hundredth day of
school! We will celebrate the 100th day with the other Kdgn. classes
on Thursday, Feb 3rd. The classes will rotate from one room to the
next participating in activities that celebrate the number 100. This
day traditionally sets our study of place value into full motion, (Ones,
Tens, and Hundreds). I sent small baggies for them to fill with 100 tiny
things that they can bring back to school for our special day.
Integrated Studies: Here are the subjects we will cover:
Anatomy, Valentine's Day, friendships, President's, China and Asia.

on the t-shirt. More Info about this special week will come soon.

Valentine's Party: Monday, Feb 14th at 8:30am:

If you are interested in sending something for the party

please sign up at school on the list outside my room.
Our Valentine's party will include exchanging Valentines
between our classmates. Please help your student write
his/her classmates names on the cards.

Please decorate a "Valentine Mailbox" at home

out of a shoe box and send to school by Feb
14th. Please cut an opening large enough for
the Valentines to go through and write the
students' name on the top of the box.
Several of our students are limited on the intake of
candy and sugary treats they can eat. Please keep
this in mind when picking out Valentines! The
students love the valentine cards themselves and do
not feel slighted if it is not accompanied by candy.
