Superior Court of The District of Columbia Administrative Orders 16-01: Pairing of Judges

Each active judge opposite a retired or senior judge is hereby designated to hear all matters, including probation revocation matters, that would normally be heard by the retired judge or senior judge, unless the Chief Judge authorizes the senior judge to hear the matter, except that where a senior judge is presiding on a misdemeanor calendar, cases heard by the senior judge will remain on the calendar unless the senior judge orders otherwise.
