What we
are learning this
week:

Phonics Focus

Reading: We will continue to study the


nonfiction text Im A Caterpillar. We will
discuss the life cycle of a caterpillar,
sequencing events, and features of nonfiction
texts.

Contraction Review

Math: We will continue to develop our


understanding of place value. We will work
to count tens and ones, and make bundles of
groups of 10/

Test Friday

Writing: We will begin our informational


writing unit. We will learn about the
distinctions between fiction and nonfiction
writing.
Science We will begin to study how
materials change due to heat or other
forces.
