The artifact is displayed is a behavior incentive chart that I use daily with one of my students.
There is a spot for each section of the day; I communicate my expectations to the child or ask the
child what they should be doing for each time frame. If the student meets the expectations given
to him, he is able to pick out a sticker to put on his chart. If he receives all of his stickers, he is
able to choose his reward, whether that be a five minute iPad turn, a sticker, BEST ticket, or a
prize from the prize box.
Reflection on artifact (what went right, what went wrong, how to make better)
This works well with my particular student. The child comes in from a previous preschool and at this
point in the day has worn down and needs redirecting. This motivates this particular student to stay on
task and to make good choices, since he is rewards for good behavior.
