For Immediate Release April 15, 2010

As a result of tips from the public, Adam Preston Johnson 31 was identified as the
person on the attached surveillance photograph. Johnson was arrested on 04/10/10 for
Robbery and Parole Violation and booked into the Kern County Jail.

Original Release April 9, 2010

The Bakersfield Police Department is requesting the community’s assistance in


identifying a suspect wanted for robbery.

On 04/04/10, at about 2:15 a.m., the suspect entered the Fastrip convenience store,
6401 White Lane and attempted to purchase beer. When the cashier refused to sell the
suspect beer, the suspect threatened to shoot the cashier then reached into his
waistband and demanded money.

The suspect is described as a:

Black male, 40-45, 5'8"-5"10", 140-160lbs, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, and black
jeans, having a white design on the sides.

Anyone with information regarding this suspect’s identity is encouraged to call


Detective Clayton Madden at 326-3953.
