The document summarizes the history and evolution of roller blades, bicycles, and skateboards from their origins to modern forms. Roller blades were invented in the 1700s and consisted of a wooden sole with metal or wood rollers. Over subsequent decades, designs incorporated additional wheels and new materials. Bicycles originated in the early 1800s as wooden "hobby horses" and evolved through high-wheeled and bone-shaker models to the modern safety bicycle. Skateboarding began in the 1950s as surfers adapted wooden boards with roller skate wheels for street use and grew popular through the 1970s with new wheel materials and tricks like the ollie.
