Classroom Guidelines/Rules, Rewards, Consequences, & Daily Schedule

For Junior High School Students in Mr. Moxhams Class


Guidelines/Rules:
1. Respect Classmates
2. Actively Participate in Discussions
3. Use Time for Homework Appropriately
4. Bring Supplies and Willingly Share with Peers if Needed
5. Display a Positive Outlook
These guidelines/rules are to be followed by each student daily.
Rewards (for following guidelines/rules):
1. Music During Homework Time (Normal Class Reward)
2. One Free Answer on Homework (Individual Basis)
3. A Video During Review Day (Earned Class Reward)
As students follow guidelines/rules as a group, points will be earned and totaled
weekly. Weekly points can result in smaller rewards or saved and added together
to earn a larger reward.
Consequences (for choosing to not follow guidelines/rules):
1. First violation 1st warning (nonverbal signal)
2. Second violation 2nd warning (verbal)
3. Third violation 3rd and final warning (verbal)
4. Fourth violation Above and student stays after class to discuss the issue
5. Fifth violation Above plus a referral
Consequences will be assigned individually. In extreme situations a student can
be moved through the level of consequences in a short amount of time.
Exceptions to the guidelines/rules, rewards, and consequences might be
necessary and will be made at the discretion of the instructor.
Anticipated Daily Schedule (Due to assemblies and other unforeseen events, this
schedule may not be a true minute by minute indication of your childs day.) If you
would like to visit during a certain part of the day to observe or assist in the classroom
please call ahead to verify the schedule for the day of your choice.
