COMPETENCY 9: EVALUATE PRACTICE WITH
INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, GROUPS, ORGANIZATIONS,
AND COMMUNITIES
PRESENTED BY: JA'KAYLA HILL
9.1 SELECT AND USE APPROPRIATE
METHODS FOR EVALUATION OF OUTCOMES
Example: We administer and evaluation form at ever 30 day milestone mark
that covers the basic services provided by the agency. We ask the clients to rate on a scale 1-5 whether they feel their need is being met based on the service provided.
9.2 APPLY KNOWLEDGE OF HUMAN BEHAVIOR AND THE SOCIAL
ENVIRONMENT, PERSON-IN-ENVIRONMENT, AND OTHER
MULTIDISCIPLINARY THEORETICAL FRAMEWORKS IN THE EVALUATION OF OUTCOMES Example: We ask that clients give feedback based on hoe the class is facilitated, this allows the staff to integrate more of their personal background into the lesson. We also develop small skits for the clients to act out based on real life situations the clients are going through. This helps the client better evaluate their possible solutions for an issue they are dealing with.
9.3 . CRITICALLY ANALYZE, MONITOR, AND
EVALUATE INTERVENTION AND PROGRAM PROCESSES AND OUTCOMES
Example: At the end of each 30 day milestone, the client asses themselves on a scale from 1-10 to see if they have made any progress in change of their behavior and positive thinking skills.
9.4 APPLY EVALUATION FINDINGS TO IMPROVE
PRACTICE EFFECTIVENESS AT THE MICRO, MEZZO,
AND MACRO LEVELS Example: The evaluation provided at each milestone mark, are reviewed by the agency, probation officers, and the data is then sent to the national organization of corrections in both state and country to be analyzed and then adjusted based on client outcomes.
