Exercise On ERPnext
The main objective of the exercise to have a Hands On with the CRM module of ERP. It is
assumed that you have already set-up your organisation in Exercise 1 and journal ledger and
accounts in Exercise 2. Since the exercise is on CRM, it is assumed that you have good
familiarity with the terms:
Lead
Customer
Opportunity
Quotation
In case of any help in working with the ERP you can refer the manual (which is available
online on the ERP interface. While working in the exercise below, keep in mind that All the
work done by you should be maintained in the Lab Note Book. Feel free to do experiment,
read the manual and discuss.
Create a database of the leads using the following information. You are free to use your own
wisdom to chose the missing fields (Use CRM /Lead/Make a New Lead)

2. Create a Customer from the lead (Rahul ) and assign a credit limit of Rs. 50000 to him.
Assign the account of the customers to the Debtors account of the company. Assign other
parameters as per your own choice. Save
3. Create an opportunity from the lead Bipasha for Sales. Mention that the discounts can
a bargained over phone in the range of 5 - 15 %. Keep a one week window for the
next contact. Save

write a one paragraph description of the product / service highlighting the main
features of the product / service . (Use CRM / Newsletter )
a. Newsletter List (Create a new list , give some name)
b. Subject (Give some catchy tagline to the subject)
c. Message ( Write all the good things about your product /service)
d. Test (write one email ID from the Lead list)
e. Send the email
7. Populate the Newsletter list, by adding subscribers using import subscribers from the
Lead Database. ( Use CRM / Newsletter List). Save the list
8. Send your newsletter to the complete list.
