Lesson 1

The lesson plan introduces students to a WebQuest on World War 1 over four lessons. In the first lesson, students will: - Create a mind map of the key events leading up to and during WW1 using online research tools. - Develop an interactive timeline of WW1 showing causes, major events, and countries involved using an online timeline tool. - Review the major turning points of the war by sharing their timelines. Students' work will be posted online and assessed to check understanding of WW1 topics and determine if lesson objectives were met. The WebQuest aims to develop students' knowledge of why the war began and its impact on Australian society.
