Tuck Everlasting Chapters 1-8 Project

Introductions: You will be completing a project that will represent your understanding of the
novel, Tuck Everlasting, all the way up until chapter 9. As we have read, studied, and analyzed
the text, you should be able to include a large amount of detail and description within your
project. You will be able to choose the type of project in which you will want to work on from
the list below. You will also be working on this project with a partner of the teachers choice. The
project is to be done ONLY in class and will be due by the end of the Language Arts period
tomorrow, March 25, 2016. Please choose a project in which you think you will be able to
complete, rather than take on too much and not be able to finish. I expect all projects to be
completed at a 4th grade level; therefore, include detail, description, text evidence, and
explanations. You may USE THE BOOK for assistance. GOOD LUCK =)

Please choose one of the following choices to complete:


1. Make a prezi, emaze, or google slides of an important scene from the book. Write a
paragraph describing the scene and its importance to the plot of the novel.
2. Make a diary that Winnie might have kept. The diary must contain the minimum of 6
entries of at least 200 words or more. It may contain illustrations. The diary must have a
decorated cover, a title, dates, and entries.
3. Illustrate five scenes from the book with original drawings or collages. Each illustration
needs a title. For each description, write a paragraph describing what is happening in the
story during that particular scene.
4. Pretend that you are a newspaper reporter and compile a list of 20 questions you would
want to ask one of the Tucks. Then write a newspaper article of the interview.

5. Write a detailed song or a rap that describes the characters, setting, conflict, and problem.
Be prepared to perform the song or rap in front of the class. Be sure that the song or rap
has at least three verses and a chorus or hook.
