The measuring apparatus shall be a system of dial gages, wire, mirrot, and scales conforming to the ASTM D1143, 9.7 TENSILE LOAD TEST ‘The safe axial tensile load capacity (pull out capacity) of pile shall be the least of the following, © Two-third of load at which the total displacement is 12 mm or the load corresponding to @ specified permissible uplift © Halfof the load at which the load-displacement curve show a clear break (downward trend) 98 LATERAL LOAD TEST The impact point for the lateral load shall be as close as possible to the site elevation. The impact point shall be finalized at the job site taking into account the loading device to be actually utilized at the time of load test. D The static loading, unless failure occurs frst, the pile shall be loaded to the maximum test load of 200 % of the design load in accordance with the standard loading procedure stipulated in ASTM 13966. 9.9 APPLIED LOAD Pile Load tests shall be performed in order to verify the capacity of the design pile which was derived from soil investigation results and to establish pile driving criteria and actual capacity relation (calendaring). Test pile locations and type of test be performed shall be specified on the design drawings and be witnessed by COMPANY. Load test shall be conducted in accordance with ASTM D1 143 for compressive test, ASTM D3689 for tensile load test, and ASTM D3966 for lateral load test. All materials for test piles shall be from the same manufacture as those for production piles. Load test report shall be in accordance with applicable ASTM standard. ‘MEE GLSPCATOO Page WorJAMBI MERANG GAS PRODUCTION FACILITIES DEVELOPMENT SPECIFICATION — Numberofier | _— Applied lad pile “vertical hori Sungai Kenawang | piles | 250% ofpile design load | 200% of ple design load Pulau Gading Apiles __| 250.% of pile design load 200 % of pile design load _| 9.10 PILE LOAD TEST REPORT. 1 i Record During Static pile Loading test Time, load and movement of pile shall be recorded during the static load test. As an alternative, square concrete pile of 200 mm x 200 mm, 250 mm x 250 mm, and 300 mm x 300 mm. The ultimate soil bearing capacity in compression and tension is calculated based on the laboratory and field test. The maximum allowable load both in compression and tension should be checked against the allowable capacity of the pile material. 1. Compressive load In compressive load, individual piles and groups shall develop ultimate load capacities of at least twice the design allowable loads in the designated-frietion of bearing layers. Analysis shall show that the soil layers underlying the designated bearing layer do not eause the bearing capacity safety factor to be less than 2. The allowable compressive load capacity is defined as follow: ‘+The load at which settlement is 25mm ‘+ 4.50% of the loading causing a gross settlement of 10.% of the pile diameter. 2. Tensile Load Where required, the uplift or tension capacity of single pile shall be determined in ‘accordance with ASTM 3689 or an approved method of analysis based upon a minimum, safety factor of 2:The maximum allowable uplift load shall not exceed one-half the load which produces an upward movement of the pile, equal to one-third of the ultimate uplift capacity or gross elastic extension of the pile plus 0.1 inch, For pile group subjected to uplift, the allowable uplift load for the group shall be the lesser of | the proposed individual pile uplift working load times the number of piles in the group or ‘two thirds of the effective weight of the pile group and the soil contained within a block defined by the perimeter of the group and the length of the pile. 10.2. LATERAL LOAD ' Allowable lateral load based on a tolerable butt deflection of 10 mm for pined head and 6 mm for fixed head. Lateral load pile capacity should be checked against the capacity of pile material to resist bending moment and shear stress. This can be done by checking the interaction graph of axial load versus bending moment issued by vendor. aRGLSP.CAIOO Page 18ot 18
