Hachinski Ischaemia Score

This document contains the Hachinski Ischemia Scale used to rate patients and determine the likelihood that dementia is caused by ischemia or stroke rather than Alzheimer's disease. It lists 11 features that are each given a score of 0, 1, or 2, with higher scores indicating a greater likelihood of ischemic vascular dementia. The total score is calculated to help differentiate between vascular dementia and Alzheimer's disease. References are provided for the original research developing and validating the scale.
