MGM4106 Business Ethics

Semester II 2015/2016
Group project (15%)

With the same group members, choose any hotel/resort/homestay in the service
sector and write a case study about the hotel. Your case study should include the
following elements:
1.

Introduction. Organization background, history, employees, department,


achievements and etc. (10 marks)

2.

Area of interest. Relate your case study with any topic in the Business
Ethics syllabus. Please study the topic of your interest before you go to the
company. This will ensure that you are prepared with the specific questions
related to the topic. (30 marks)

3.

Specific problems related to the issues discovered in (3). Identify the


problems or challenges faced by the company. Discuss its impact to the
hotel. (25 marks)

4.

Recommendations. Assume you are the decision maker for the hotel. What
will you do to improve the situations in the hotel so that this hotel can
perform better ethically? Please support your answer with a good
theoretical understanding through sources such as journal articles, books
other than the main textbook and etc. (30 marks)

All groups MUST use the same format;

Double spacing, font size : 12, font type: tahoma and maximum pages: 15

The chosen topic must be stated at the front page (1 marks). i.e. Ethics
and the environment
