Biography
Ben Sheppard is a senior in the Program in Vocal Performance studying music
theatre in the studio of Michael Ricciardone. At NYU, Ben has appeared in The Grand
Hotel (The Chauffer) Once on This Island (Ton- Ton Julian), The Student Prince
(Student/ Ensemble), Man of La Mancha (Tenorio), and the new play Alpha Male
(Alan). His other favorite credits include Titanic: A New Musical (Frederick Barrett),
Twelfth Night; or, What You Will (The Duke Orsino), and Phantom of the Opera
(Ubaldo Piangi). He would like to thank his family, friends, faculty, and the Class of
2016 for being so welcoming and supportive after his transfer into the program
sophomore year. You have all been constant source of love and wisdom of all kinds.
Bob Kelly is a NY-based composer, pianist, and music director. He is from the Twin
Cities, MN, and is a graduate of St. Olaf College and the NYU Graduate Musical
Theatre Writing Program. His work as a composer has been supported and
developed with the Yale Institute for Music Theatre, Prospect Theater Company, NY
Theatre Barn, Leviathan Lab, NYU Tisch Collaborative Development and Productions
Series, and Theatre Now NY. Recent credits as a music director: Grand Hotel (NYU
Steinhardt, Assistant MD), Amazing Grace (Keyboard Sub, Music Assistant), A Chorus
