I started by sketching my ideas. I then went into Illustrator and created


three logos. I asked multiple people which one they liked best, and
why. After that I redesigned my logo based off of the information I
received, and this is the final product.

A letterhead for a lemonade company

Objectives:
Create a new logo to match the company image and create a letterhead

Process:
I created a business to advertise. Once I knew my company I sketched
some logo designs and then created the logo in Illustrator. Once the logo
was completed I went into InDesign and created the letterhead. I included
some elements that could be repeated in the business card.

Description:
A two sided business card for a lemonade company

Programs Used:
Adobe Illustrator and InDesign

Objectives:
Create a logo to match the company image and create a business card

Process:
First I came up with a business to advertise. Once I knew my company I
sketched some logo designs and then created the logo in Illustrator. Once
the logo was completed I went into InDesign and created the business
cards. I made sure that the business card had the same repeating
elements that the letterhead head.

Description:
Create a full-bleed brochure advertising a Mexican Restaurant

Programs Used:
Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop

Objectives:
To create a new logo, and learn how to edit and text wrap quality images

Process:
First I brainstormed different ideas of what business I could advertise. Once
I picked a business I thought of an original way to portray the business
their information. I then designed the logo, and brochure shape. I then
picked images to use. After that I created the body copy and edited the
images to go along with the color scheme.

A full-bleed advertisement to promote a charity event

Microsoft Word

Objectives:
To understand how to scan images and use Microsoft Word

Process:
For this ad I only used Microsoft Word. I love swimming, and swim-athons are a great way to raise money. I went and found a swim magazine
and scanned the image. To make a color scheme I added the different
shapes, and included my text.

Description:
A photo design using an original image

Programs Used:
Photoshop

Objectives:
To learn basic skill of photography and Photoshop

Process:
I looked at my images and found one I liked. Once I found the quote I
went to go with the image I used Photoshop to edit the image. I fixed the
levels of the image, and removed blemishes. After that I created boxes to
create the color scheme. I then added the typography to tie it all together.

Create a spiritual montage that blends two images together

Adobe Photoshop

Objectives:
Learn how to use masks to gradually blend images together

Process:
First I pondered different spiritual songs, and scriptures that I liked. Once
I decided on a quote I went and found two images that would look good
blended together. I blended the images and then added the typography to
tie it all together.

A flier to advertise a graduate leadership conference

Programs Used:
Adobe InDesign and Photoshop

Objectives:
Apply design principles to create a flier and learn skills in InDesign

Process:

Conference is available to
graduating seniors.

The first step in creating this flier was to sketch ideas. Once I decided on
a sketch I went to InDesign. I created the layout and then added in the
text. Then I took the photo and edited it photo shop, and removed the
background so the people were cut out. I then added the photo to the
design and adjusted the color scheme.

Space is limited.

Description:
A web page to showcase a logo I created

Programs Used:
TextWrangler

Objectives:
To learn HTML and CSS

Process:
I created this web page using TextWrangler. All of the information on the
page was coded through HTML. I then went in with CSS and made the
design of the web page match the logo. I embedded the script font seen
in the title and the subtitle. I also changed the opacity of the information so
you could see the image in the back. I also made the background of the
web page an image that I took.
