Reflection
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)

1. Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology coaching and technology leadership from completing this field
experience?
For this field experience, I attended two Technology SMACKDOWN sessions and learned about a variety of technology tools to implement in my
classroom. This was an interesting field experience because I was trying to look at the professional development sessions from two sets of eyes, as a teacher,
and as a technology coach. There were several coaches present, so I got to see many different styles of teaching/and coaching of technology skills.

2. How did this learning relate to the knowledge (what must you know), skills (what must you be able to do) and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs,
enthusiasm) required of a technology facilitator or technology leader? (Refer to the standards you selected above. Use the language of the PSC
standards in your answer and reflect on all 3knowledge, skills, and dispositions.)
Knowledge Technology knowledge was needed to understand the types of activities that the technology specialists showed the teachers.

Skills Blogging, manipulation of digital tools, photo editing

Dispositions The dispositions needed are the open-mindedness and the gumption to try something completely new in the classroom.

3. Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or student learning at your school. How can the impact be
assessed?
The field experience impacted faculty development by introducing new technology tools to teachers and students on a large scale. This also allows for
students to find something that they want to try and reach out to their teachers to implement it in the classroom.

Reflection
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)

1. Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology coaching and technology leadership from completing this field
experience?
In my honors biology classes, I had the students complete an enzyme virtual lab, collect and graph data on Excel and compile all work on a Word document
and submit it online through the student portal (ASPEN).

Knowledge Knowledge required here is biology content and experimental design knowledge.

Skills The skills needed here include how to compile data in a spreadsheet and graph the data. Basic troubleshooting skills were imperative here,
the students struggled with using Excel to make a graph.

Dispositions The dispositions needed include patience and the ability to think on my feet.

3. Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or student learning at your school. How can the impact be
assessed?
Giving the students an opportunity to complete a lab experience in a digital environment impacted student learning, and it was not an easy experience for
them. I feel that they learned how to problem solve and analyze data and draw conclusions. Evaluating the stusdent work samples can assess the impact.
