I would have my
students create a
Pinterest account and
find a fun lesson that
they would like to do in
class with numbers,
properties and
operations.
1. Number Sense,
Properties, and
Operations
I could have my
students go on a
quest around the
playground, to scan all
of the clues, but in
order to find get the
clue they have to
solve the equation
correctly.
2. Patterns, Functions,
and Algebraic
Structures
3. Analysis, Statistics,
and Probability
4. Shape, Dimension,
and Geometric
I would have my
students create a
game (jeopardy) on
their portfolio, and
then have them in
groups in class and
have them play it
with their
classmates. I would
need to include all
of the terms from
our current chapter
of focus, and have
scenarios that they
make up or use
from the book so
that they can recap
what they know
before a test.

create a poetry

have the class room
set up as a caf, and
have them share in
class and have a tea
and snacks.

I would have my
students pick a
certain time period of
history that they are
interested in. Have
them do a little
research on the time
period, then tell the
story of that time
period through
storybird.

Reflections:
E-portfolio: I chose to do the ISET standards for my e-portfolio, because they standards are all technology standards. The e-portfolio meets all
of the technology standards and I think it is a funny and interactive way to get kids more involved and learning more about the things that are being
taught. I love the idea of having a working portfolio throughout the year. I think it will be a great tool for teachers to learn and see how there students
are learning from year to year. I think there are a lot of really cool things that we can do with the portfolio and it will help the students keep their
creativity.
For my Storybird matrix I came up with a mini lesson plan and activities for each subject. Storybird can be used in every
subject and would be a great way to keep the kids involved, and stay focused on what is being taught. It is also a fun way for me
to assess the students instead of having a test. Storybird is so versatile and is a fun way to see what classmates are doing too. I
also think it would be fun for the kids to get into groups and make up a story and draw the images onto a piece of paper and
share their original book. I think this will be a great tool to be using as a teacher.
The past two weeks I have learned a lot! I love that I as a teacher can utilize Pinterest for lesson ideas, as well as fun craft
ideas. I learned a lot about how to integrate technology into my everyday classroom. I also loved looking at other peoples boards
to see what they came up, and if I could use it in my class room. I also really loved that I got to research and pick and create my
own LMS. It was great to see how each one worked, and how I could utilize one in my classroom, I love that you can put
everything up on the LMS and then kids and parents can go see lessons, due dates, polls and quizzes. It makes life a lot easier on
teachers because its all in one place and you dont have to go to a million different places for worksheets, the grade book, and a
lesson plans. I cant wait to utilize my LMS in a real classroom, as well as Pinterest!
For my mobile learning I learned a lot and think it could be used for a fun new way to learn and keep the kids engaged. But I also just dont
know how feasible it would be. I think having code hunts for test reviews would be a great way for them to be accountable for their own learning and
better than worksheets. I do think code hunts could be used for all subjects but I also think it could become overkill just like worksheets.
