Bakersfield Police Department

Misdemeanor Warrant Citation Program

This is just a reminder that the Bakersfield Police Department offers a warrant
citation program for individuals wishing to clear their misdemeanor warrants. In
lieu of bail or a physical arrest, a citation with a new court appointment date is
available. This program only applies to Bakersfield Police Department
misdemeanor warrants and does not include warrants without bail. In order to
receive a citation or to determine whether or not a warrant exists, individuals
need simply respond to the Bakersfield Police Department Warrant Office, in
person, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8A.M. and 4P.M.
Information related to warrants will not be provided over the telephone.
An individual having an active warrant will need to bring some form of
identification to the Police Department with them, however, if that is not possible;
the warrant staff can most often confirm a person’s identity through information
from the DMV or from a prior local booking.

The Bakersfield Police Department Warrant Office is located on the second floor
of the Main Police Building at 1601 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California.
