ThepurposeofthisistoofficiallycommendHenryStapletonforhisexceptionalcontributionthroughouthis
assignmenttotheTransportDemandProject(TDP).
Asyouknow,HenryhasbeenworkingonspecialassignmentwiththeTDPteamforthepasteightmonths.Now
thatheisabouttoreturntoyourpartoftheorganizationIwantedtomakesurethathegetssomerecognitionforhis
significantandexceptionalcontributionstotheproject.
Asajunioreconometrician,Henry'sroleintheprojectwaspivotaltoitstimelyandsuccessfulcompletion.Itwas
Henrywhoworkedlonghours,numerousnightsandweekendswithhissmallteamofresearchers,firstspecifying,
andthentestingthethousandsofequationsthathadtoberun.ThequalityofHenry'swrittenworkwasalso
exceptional.Hisregressionanalysissummarieswerealwaysverywellwrittenandrarelyrequiredrevision.
Asacolleagueandprojectteammember,Henrywasalsooutstanding.Hisupbeatenthusiasmfortheprojectwas
infectious,andheseemedtomotivatetheentireprojectteam.Hewasverywelllikedbyallteammembers,andin
effecthebecame"unofficial"deputyprojectmanager.
Inclosing,IwouldliketosaythatIhaveworkedwithmanyjunioreconomistsandeconometriciansovertheyears
andhaveneverrunacrossoneasprofessionalandproductiveasHenryStapletonwasontheTDP.Ibelievethatthe
organizationasawholeshouldrecognizehisexceptionalcontributiontoamajorproject.
