In the 2013-2014 school year, Carrollton Middle School s
current student population of 1210 students is of a
diverse background.

Demographics
Carrollton Middle Schools diverse make up is 46% White, 30%
Black, 16% Hispanic, <1% each of Asian, American Indian or
Alaskan Native and Mixed

These numbers are in relation to the 2013-2014 student
population of 1210 students. There is a high percentage of
56% of economically disadvantaged students, as well as 13%
of the student population being Students with disabilities.

Academics- Reading
In the pass three years, from 2012-2014, there has been a decrease
in DNM in reading. Carrollton Middle School has outscored the State
in meeting and exceeding. Reading is a strength at all grade levels
in regards to meeting and exceeding and low numbers of DNM.

In the pass three years, from 2012-2014, there has been some
movement in scores in Math. In the 2013 school year, there was a
significant decrease in Exceeding in the 6th grade. From 2013-2014
there is much movement in the Exceeding category. 92% of
students met or exceeded math.

In the pass three years, from 2012-2014, there have some
decreases in exceeded scores in science. In the 6th grade year,
there is a significant decrease in exceeded and increase in DNM. 6 th
grade Science is a weakness in the school. 81% of students met or
exceeded in science.
