Motivation Letter

The applicant is currently studying biology in Indonesia and is interested in applying for a scholarship to study animal medicine at the University of Hokkaido in Japan. She believes the program will enrich her future studies and career as well as give her an opportunity to experience Japanese culture and education system. With this letter, I would like to express my interest to study in Hokkaido University.
I am currently studying Scholars Degree programme in Biology at the State University of
Malang in Indonesia. Having looked through the materials of the Foreign Department of my
university, I was very delighted to find the opportunity to learn Animal Medical at the University
of Hokkaido. I have decided to apply for this programme because I am sure it would strongly
enrich my future studies and help me in my prospective career. Moreover I consider this
programme as a great opportunity to get in touch with Japanese culture and educational system.
I choose University of Hokkaido because I think the educational system is suitable for me. The
reference materials and the lecturer is very excellent thus it will help me so much in studying
Animal Medical. I hope in this university will help me to enhance my knowledge in veterinary so
I can work as a professional veterinarian.
