This rubric evaluates informative/explanatory writing on a scale of 1 to 4 in 5 categories: Focus, Organization, Support/Evidence, Language, and Language Conventions. For each category, it describes the characteristics of writing that would receive a score of 1 (Below), 2 (Approaching), 3 (Meeting), or 4 (Exceeding standards).
