2. INSTALLATION SPACE AND POWER CAPACITY

Checkpoints for Installation Work
1 Prepare an installation layout beforehand to ensure that overall construction and installation
work is completed smoothly.
2 Make preparations for necessary piping (e.g., water supply, overflow, exhaust) and electrical
work simultaneously with foundation work needed to connect this equipment.
3 Review your contract with the electric power company for electric supply, and alter the
contract to complete wiring work beforehand, if necessary.
4 When using tap water or public water, be sure to ask the local waterworks utility to perform
piping work.
5 Overflow treatment is required before draining. If access to an overflow treatment facility is
not available, contact an authorized waste collecting agent.

6-2. Precautions on Wiring

(1) Ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI)
A circuit breaker must be installed at each branch point to the film processor
(CL-KP46E/TQA, CL-KP46E/U/TJ-A), printer processor.
(2) GFCI's fault current detecting sensitivity
A GFCI with a sensitivity of 30 mA is normally used. If a more sensitive GFCI is
attached to another branch circuit, however, use a GFCI with even higher sensitivity.
(3) GND (grounding)
For connecting the ground cable, be sure to use a single ground line, not a neutral line.
If a single ground line is not available, perform additional construction work as required.

Chart reading method
Read A and B parts, and calculate
differences.
Judge by the number of level bars
that are recognized.
In example A, bars as far as the
"8th chart" are recognized.
Because the number if level bars
is 17: 10+y' = 710+8 78
Similarly in example B, bars as
far as"5th chart" are recognized.
The number of level bars are 7 in
this example also. Therefore:
710+5 = 75
Thus,
B-Ais 75-78= 3
This example does not require
adjustment.

2 Align the teeth of the belt with the grooves of the pulley on the side of the core shaft
assembly.
POINT

Be sure to set each part of the puIIey and belt in position (tooth and groove) one after
one like setting a bicycle chain, then turn the pulley (to prevent the belt from being
stretched).
Properly align the three pulley proves with three rows of gear teeth (threads).
Note that the belt rotates even if only the teeth of two rows are engaged, however, the
friction component decreases.
Confirm that the teeth and grooves of the belt on the outlet assembly unit side.

Note

If you forcibly set the belt, the entire length of the belt will be stretched, resulting in belt
slippage due to lack of tension.
Be sure to set the belt line after line as described above.
Note that belt slippage may result from oil the teeth of the belt and grooves of the pulley.

9-2-3. Function to be checked

Paper feed-related functions
(1) The drive roller must not generate any noise and should rotate without any abnormal
load when the gear turns in the paper feeding direction. Both belt and core also must
not turn. (See the label for the direction of gear rotation.)
(2) The drive roller, belt and core must rotate without any abnormal load when the gear
turns in the paper rewinding direction.
(3) Check that the drive roller, belt, and pulley rotate when rotating the gear in the paper
rewinding direction by suppressing rotation of the core by pressing it.
(In this case, the rotation of the belt and pulley is absorbed by slipping of the friction
board at the lower section of the core. If the belt does not rotate, the operation is NG
since the Assy of the exit section and belt are slipping.)

Checking Shutter Movement

When the shutter is not operated

Raised shutter lever

When the shutter pin is lowered

(1) Shutter opening/closing movement and pinch roller pressure releasing operation must
be smooth and Iined with shutter lever movement.
(2) Shutter opening/closing movement must smooth when the shutter pin is lowered.
(3) A gap of 1 mm or more must be set in the shutter section when the shutter lever is fuIIy
moved. The shutter section must contact closely throughout the area when the shutter
lever is set back into position.
(4) The gap between the pinch roller and drive roller is 2 mm or more when the shutter lever
is fully moved. The pinch roller and driver roller must contact closely throughout the area
when the shutter lever is set back into position.
(5) A gap of 1 mm or more must be set in the shutter section when the shutter pin is
lowered 2 mm. The shutter section must contact closely throughout the area when the
shutter pin is set back into position.
