Reflection from prior lesson: In the previous lesson the students finished presenting a travel brochure they created
on Word.
Lesson Objectives: By the end of the lesson the students will be able to define 10 terms associated with the internet
with 100% accuracy.
Materials Needed: Each student needs a computer. Projector.
Contextual Factors/ Learner Characteristics: The 6th grade class has 26 students. 17 boys and 9 girls. The 8th grade
class has 24 students. There are 12 girls and 12 boys.

The internet is something we all use every day but there are some terms that are associated with the internet that
we use but I dont think we really understand the meaning. Today we will be defining some of these words. (5
min)
2. Content Delivery
As you can see on the screen I have a .pdf with 12 terms listed. You need to create an identical looking Word
document. Then you need to define these words. The website netlingo.com is a great resource but you may use any
resource that you find. If you finish before class is over show me your document. (40 min)
3. Closure
I will give a term and definition of one term verbally and ask the students to give a thumbs up or thumbs down if it
is correct or not. (4 min)
Technology Integration: Students will use the internet to look up terms.
