management, especially
on preparedness.

Barangay Disaster Readiness Profile

This is an output in the


administration of the Barangay
Disaster Readiness Checklist
and a preliminary document in
formulating BDRRM plans in
the barangays. It contains
information on characteristics
and circumstances of a
community that makes it
susceptible to the damaging
effects of hazards.

OBJECTIVES OF THE BDRC


1. To generate a national picture of the disaster
preparedness initiatives of the barangays;
2. To provide a disaggregated data of vulnerable
members of the communities;
3. To standardize data collection at the barangay
level;
4. To provide a more efficient reporting system for the
barangays and monitoring and consolidating data
at the national level;
5. To aid the national government in developing
programs to address areas for improvement in
DRRM at the barangay level; and
6. To serve as a tool for barangays in
