Rationale
As a teacher, I created and authored a storybook with using
Concepts about Print by Marie Clay. Teachers use this
approach in her English evaluation class to support children
in their basic literacy' learning. In my rationale justifying, I
show the importance of using concepts of Print for both
teachers and children in primary schools.
A Rationale justifying

Concepts of Print are the main of literacy English language that


children should know and understand the variety forms of Concepts
about Print. Moreover, it has multiple functions and serve students'
understands and will improve their reading and writing skills, too.
The keys Concepts of Print are Book Concepts, Reading Concepts,
Directionality Concepts, Concepts of Letters and Words and
Punctuation Marks (Tompkins, 2010) (Clay, 2000).
Young children have to get ready to read a book we as teachers
have helped our children and focus on their knowledge Concepts of
Print by using Concepts checklist. (Masef)he teacher will evaluate
the child includes book awareness, print awareness, and alphabetic
principles. Through these types Concepts of Print will help the child
identify the concepts Letters and Words ( first letter names, discover
how to hold a book and turns pages and points out the test of the
book) (Clay, 2000).
The purpose of concepts of print is enabling children to get to read
and understand their reading with build the bases English language
of literacy (G. Reid Lyon). For teachers, the concepts of print will
help observed and understand their individual children by uses a
checklist, the book, and instruction for the teacher (Reading Rockets
, 2004). It's very important that children must learn to work within
the concepts of print to enhance their understanding. (G. Reid
Lyon)Through they exploring writing print such as directional
movement of Print (top to bottom and left to right), the correct
forms words (first letter and last letter in a word, as orientation,),
different punctuation marks and sequence of letters and words.
These conventions of writing print that children have to learn and
know within using the concepts of print (G. Reid Lyon).
