1. The mission of the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic School counseling program is to educate and engage students in social-emotional and academic domains through a counseling curriculum and collaboration between staff. 2. The counseling program goals for the year focus on increasing student knowledge of bullying terms and intervention skills, developing friendship skills, and improving stress management knowledge and strategies to increase achievement. 3. The school counselor plans to spend 30% of time on core curriculum, 20% on responsive services, 20% on referrals/consultation, and 20% on program planning/school support. Meetings will be held with an advisory council, administration, and student support teams.
