INT - 2nd Floor Classroom - EARLY MORNING

Logline: Students walk into a class early in the morning to take


a test. All students start turning in their tests but one turns
his test later with a few sweets as a form of bribery.

INT - 2nd Floor Classroom - EARLY MORNING


Students start walking into homeroom for their attendance. They
take their seats and get along their phones. Some students are
already present in the class A group of students arrive later.
Fades into first scene
ASMAA
Good morning guys! Are you ready for the test? It
really scares me that this will count towards 50% of
the semester.
Takes a seat and starts waiting for the rest of the class to
arrive.
TEACHER 1
Good morning homeroom! It seems like the busses are
late this morning. Half the class is still missing.
Hyo Jee
Hyo Jee turns to the teacher and says in a sarcastic tone.
...or it could be that they are skipping the test
today.
TEACHER 1
What is this test all about? Is this why all of you
have baggy eyes? Did you not sleep?
ASMAA

Yes Mr. I think I went to bed at 4 am. I am trying to


survive on 2 hours of sleep.
Talks towards the teacher as she has her computer and textbook
open in front of her.
TEACHER 1
Asmaa! Did you really sleep at 4 am! (laugh)I never
thought youre hardworking, I mean all your assignments
are late
Teacher says it in a funny way.
YORGO
Hahhah! True!
ASMAA
Remember this historic moment then. That doesnt happen
quite often(laughing)
TEACHER 1
HAHAHA! Anyways its time. Off you go. Good luck to
everyone taking their test!
--------------------------------------------------------------------INT - 2nd Floor Hallway - DAY
Yorgo , Hyojee and Asmaa are heading to class.
YORGO
...Oh look a chocolate bar! Great! I havent eaten
breakfast today.
Grabs the chocolate bar on a table in a hallway and eats some of
it then puts the rest in his bag while he walks.
HYOJEE
Guys Im so nervous. Are you ready for that?
YORGO

Are you kidding me! Of course not I have been


sleepless for the whole night. I guess I still am in
that mood.
ASMAA
Dont worry. Were all feeling the same. The other
class told me that it was 8 pages and half the things
we never learnt, so chill anyways were bombing it.

YORGO
...Thank you for the motivation. You made me even more
nervous now.
Sarcastically saying towards Asmaas face.
INT - 1st Floor Classroom - DAY
Students quickly arrive into the classroom sitting at different
ends of the room. They get out a pencil and a calculator. The
teacher arrives few minutes later with the stack of tests in his
hand.
TEACHER 2
Good morning ladies and gentlemen. I see blank and
sleepless faces. This is what I like to see! Alright,
so you all seem to be prepared already so I will
quickly pass these out and go over a few things.
Teacher walks in a clockwise rotation inside the classroom
handing out the tests.
Ok, put your names and your section. This is section
10-2. Now listen very carefully. I have made several
mistakes to this test so we will quickly correct them.
Go to question 3 and change treaty to appeasement,
question 8 should be analyze instead of state and
finally, question 22 should say Hitler instead of
Mussolini. Once you made these changes you may
start. You have until the end of the period.

Cuts to the clock and back to the students taking the test. Cuts
back to the clock again showing the last 10 minutes of class.
--------------------------------------------------------------------HYOJEE
Sir, should we hand the tests in once we are done?
TEACHER 2
Make sure to double check. Remember, this will count
towards 80% of your semester grade.
Everyone looks up to him with a disgusted look.
HYOJEE
...I thought you said it was 50% of our grade!...
Whispering to Asmaa sitting next to her.
ASMAA
...I dont know. He told us last week when you were
absent.
Meanwhile, Yorgo tries to copy off Hyojees paper.
TEACHER 2
Yorgo keep your eyes down or I will need to take the
test away. You only have 5 more minutes before I will
forcefully collect the tests.
YORGO
Sir, I was taking a glance at the clock.This test is
too long to finish on time.
TEACHER 2
No excuses! The other class managed to finish.
Everyone in the class start handing their papers in one by one.
Yorgo is still panicking and stuck on his test.
Class, if youre done you may leave for break. Good
work!

Yorgo, I will need to collect your test. Please hand


it in.
YORGO
Sure, let me quickly complete this last sentence.
Camera cuts to the test paper. Yorgo responds to a last minute
question on the test writing: Where did Hitler sign the Munich
agreement?
Yorgo writes: In the bottom of the page!
Yorgo reaches down toward his bag to grab a large bar of
chocolate and sweets. He quickly slides them within his test
papers.
Here you go sir. The test was harder than I expected
but I think I did well. See you on Thursday sir. Bye.
Leaves the classroom shutting the door behind him.
Time lapse (the chocolate melts making the test paper unreadable)

ONE WEEK LATER
ASMAA
Hey guys looks! We got our grades from last weeks
test.
HYOJEE
Awesome! Let me check. He usually takes several months
to grade a short quiz. Im suprised with this speed.
ASMAA
...What did you guys get?
HYO JEE
I got a 4 and a 5...
Opens up Managebac and navigates to her science grades.
ASMAA

...I got a 2 and a 3


YORGO
OHA! I got a 0!
ASMAA
Well I told you were going to bomb it! Trust me next
time(laughing)
YORGO
Oh well sometimes you need luck as well as knowledge
to do well.
YORGO MURMURING TO HIMSELF
Knowledge not a chocolate bar!
