The Geographical Processors That Produce Landforms, Including A Case Study of at Least Landform, Such As Mountains, Volcanoes, Riverine or Coastal

This lesson plan focuses on teaching students about volcanoes. It includes introducing volcanic terminology, having students label parts of a volcano diagram, and doing a hands-on activity where they construct model volcanoes. It also discusses plate tectonics and uses the historic Krakatoa eruption as a case study. Students work collaboratively in groups. The lesson plan aims to build students' understanding of what causes volcanic eruptions and different types of volcanoes. It incorporates various resources like videos, worksheets, and an online activity for a deeper exploration of volcanoes. Formative assessments include observation of group work and collection of completed worksheets.

Body
Introduce the terminology of the volcanic parts via diagram
Ask the students to label the volcanic parts on a blank
diagram on their given worksheet
Teacher will correctly place them on the board after
discussing with students where they actually go on the
diagram and why.
Students will copy labelled diagram into notebook
Students will be placed in groups that are named after
different volcano parts
Discuss the role of each group member (Manager, Speaker,
Director)
The manager will come and collect the materials from the
front of the room, the speaker will read out instructions from
the power point (Students make a model volcano) Ask
students what was occurring when you added the baking
soda?
Conclusion
Debrief and discuss what the students found out in their
experiment
Ask the class the key questions, what does the baking soda
represent? what events happen leading up to an eruption
State we will look into this in more detail in the next lesson
Pack up and ensure room clean before dismiss
